What is changing in education.
Executive Order 14277 (April 2025) calls for AI education from kindergarten, teacher training and a national student AI challenge. Since September 2026, federal agencies use the term ‘Super Intelligence (SI)’.
Many states and districts have issued AI guidance. Some allow AI for brainstorming and feedback but not for final work. Always follow your school’s policy.
Colleges value original thinking, writing in your own voice and real projects. AP Computer Science Principles and AP Statistics are strong AI-age courses.
Education is provincial in Canada, so AI guidance comes from your province and school board. Ask your school what is allowed for homework and tests.
Canadian universities are updating academic-integrity rules for generative AI. Learning to use AI openly and honestly matters.
Statistics Canada found that, unlike earlier automation, AI is more likely to transform the jobs of highly educated workers, so every student needs AI skills.
Under NEP 2020, CBSE schools teach computational thinking from Class 3 and AI basics from Class 6, starting 2026–27. Many state boards are adding similar content.
The IndiaAI Mission (₹10,372 crore) funds computing, startups and skilling, and NITI Aayog has proposed a National AI Talent Mission to make India the AI workforce capital by 2035.
SSLC/Class 10 and PUC/Class 12 marks still decide admissions. Use AI to understand and practise, never to replace your own learning.

For parents
Five things to do at home.
Ask what AI your child used this week, for what, and what they learned themselves.
AI for explaining, quizzing and feedback: yes. AI doing the homework: no. Follow the school’s policy.
No full names, addresses, school names or photos in chatbots. Use age-appropriate tools with parental controls.
Praise effort, honesty, courage and teamwork as much as marks. These are what AI cannot replace.
