16 badges and 3 medals.
How great problem solvers think
Eight strategies.
Every problem teaches one. Learn them and you can solve problems you’ve never seen.
Sketch it. Pictures turn words into something you can see.
Work out the first few cases and look for the rule.
Start from the answer you know and undo each step.
Write every possibility in order so you don’t miss or repeat one.
Make a smart guess, test it, then adjust.
Use each clue to rule out what can’t be true.
Group numbers into pairs that make the work easy.
Name the unknown, write an equation from the words, then solve it.
📐 Benchmark math standards
Built on grade-level standards.
Each level covers the topics in the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics, which most US states use or adapt. States with their own standards, such as Texas (TEKS), Florida (B.E.S.T.) and Virginia (SOL), cover the same core topics. Then every level stretches to contest-level thinking.
