Serve your community, and log every hour.
The official routes for students in India to volunteer, earn certificates and build experience that colleges, scholarships and employers value, in cities and villages alike.
MY Bharat
The Government of India's youth platform for ages 15–29: lakhs of volunteering opportunities (cleanliness, blood donation, sports, disaster response, community service) and experiential learning programmes, with digital certificates.
National Service Scheme (NSS)
Community service through your college (and some higher secondary schools). Volunteers give at least 120 hours a year; 240 hours over two years earns the NSS certificate.
National Cadet Corps (NCC)
Discipline, leadership, camps and service in school (Junior Division) and college (Senior Division). NCC certificates bring preference in many defence, police and uniformed-service selections.
Bharat Scouts and Guides
Scouting and guiding units in schools: service projects, camps, and awards such as the Rajya Puraskar and Rashtrapati Award.
Indian Red Cross Society
Junior Red Cross in schools and Youth Red Cross in colleges: first aid, blood donation drives and disaster help.
Local NGOs (check them on NGO Darpan)
Teaching, environment, animal care and health NGOs near you. Before you join, search the NGO's name on NGO Darpan, the government registry of NGOs.
