Roadmap for Parents · India · Class 8 to admission · Lesson 1 of 2
Meet Meera. Her daughter Ira is starting Class 8. Five years, one at a time: plan the year, then support it.
Plan the year.
“Coach the plan. Let your child own it.”
Plan the year means: coach, not manager · fit over pressure · calm home · real cost, safe money · official sources only.
This year, month by month
Typical timing for the class you picked above (CBSE-style year and national exams). Your board, school and each exam’s official notice set the real dates, so always check them.
Class 8 to admission
Each year has a few clear jobs. Plan the year, then make it happen.
Strong basics in maths, science and languages, one curiosity, a scholarship check like NMMS, and a weekly routine.
Understanding over memorising, one or two activities, an activity notebook and documents started.
A calm board year with past papers and an error log, and a stream chosen by evidence.
Target exams from official bulletins, school plus focused preparation, and coaching decided by value.
Boards and entrances together, forms on official sites, documents ready, counselling, and a college chosen by cost and fit.
How the course works
Five classes, two lessons each, one story.
Parents want to help but face pressure from every side: relatives, coaching ads and comparisons. This course gives you each year’s jobs, and a calm, safe system to do them.
Class 8 to admission: five class levels (8, 9, 10, 11 and 12), each with the same two lessons at the right depth for that year.
Per class: “Plan the year” and “Support it all year”, each a short interactive story with Meera and a 10-concept check (100% to move on, unlimited fresh retries), plus a Parent Studio artifact and a month-by-month calendar. Both lessons and both artifacts earn that class’s certificate.
Parents and guardians of students in Classes 8–12. Your child’s course, Your College Journey, tells the same story from Ira’s side.
Start at your child’s current class, or at Class 8 to see the whole journey. Lesson 2 opens after Lesson 1 reaches 100%. Artifacts are self-reviewed with a 4-part rubric. No rankings, no timers, no public scores.
Where you live
The planning habits work everywhere. The admissions and aid steps differ by country.
What the research says
The methods in this course are informed by published research. The research supports these methods; it does not prove that this new course works. We’ll pilot it and report what we find, honestly.
For your child
Your child’s course, Your College Journey, follows the same five years from Ira’s side. Doing both, one lesson each, then talking for ten minutes, is the strongest way to use them.
